Shanti Yoga Classes
: Shanti Yoga focuses not only on the poses (asanas) but on breath work (pranayama) and relaxation. Each class will vary depending on the community. Ultimately, we strive to help individuals achieve a yogic mind – one that is able to recognize its thought patterns and reform it to assist in a more peaceful life.


  • Shanti  Slow Flow
         This is a perfect class for beginners or individuals seeking a more gentle practice. You will be taken through a variety of poses that will be held longer with breath and stillness being the focus.
  • Shanti Blend
          This class is a mix between Shanti Slow Flow and Shanti Vinyasa. 
  • Shanti Vinyasa
          This class is for individuals seeking a more physically challenging practice while still incorporating the main components of Shanti Yoga. You will be guided through a sequence of poses with the intention of keeping the flow moving. The room will be warmer and the instructor may give time and space for flowing on your own.
  • Slow Vinyasa 
         
    Matching breath with movement at a slower pace to the sound of deep breathing. 
  •  Candle Light Yoga
         This class  will focus more on relaxation and meditation but also incorporating basic poses. The room glows with candlelight and music will be soft. 
  • Agni Yoga
         The intention of the class is to cultivate self-transformation with meditation at the beginning and end of class. The gentle flow allows for purification of body and mind with the focus on self-observance and breath awareness. 
  • Yin Yoga
          Yin Yoga is a gentle pratice that consists of holding restorative postures to allow for a deep stretch that can release energy blockages and improve circulation.  
  • Family Class
           Come join us once a month for an hour of fun Family Yoga.The class typically is on a Sunday from 3:30 - 4:30pm.  Not only will you learn new poses and breathing techniques but you will be delighted with games, partner poses and be part of a community of like minded individuals who are committed to the total wellness of the kids in their lives. Treat yourself to an increased sense of well being while gaining effective tools to better serve the children in your life. Be ready to laugh and spend some quality time with your loved ones. This class is designed for the whole family (whether its parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle) and kids ages 5-12.

Shanti Yoga also offers private yoga sessions. Spaces are limited; please inquire within. 

Sacred Wave Gong Immersions: Transcendence Through Sound

      A Gong Immersion is an experience in which the sacred and healing sounds of the gongs bathe the participants with sustained waves of sound. A Gong Immersion does not require a specific belief structure or discipline of practice. All one needs to do is to be present and open, allowing the sound to bathe the body and carry the mind. During a Gong Immersion, participants typically experience a sense of connectedness and peace as the sounds of the gongs facilitate the movement of chi, rebalancing and toning the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. With their ability to induce a spontaneous meditative space and the quieting of mental chatter, the gongs offer an opportunity to experience increased vitality, healing, and a sense of expanded awareness and higher consciousness. The experience will show up in the matter in which it is specifically needed for each person, thus supporting that person’s individual process and healing potential. After the Gong Immersion, there will be the opportunity to share and discuss the experience for those who wish to do so.

     Please note that participants will be lying on the floor for approximately one and a half hours, so please bring any items to make your experience as comfortable as possible. A yoga mat, blankets, and bottle of water are recommended.
