Elaine
Elaine has been practicing Hatha Yoga for 15 yrs. This path later led to Vipassana Meditation, which served to deepen her yoga practice and the desire to someday become a yoga teacher.
In 2008 Elaine completed Yoga Alliance Teacher Training under Katherine Austin of Karma Yoga, after ending a 25 year career in Telecommunications. At this time she also studied under William Lee Rand, world renowned Reiki Master and teacher, who now enjoys a freelance career as a Yoga Teacher and Reiki practitioner.
Elaine’s favorite statement is “You are as young as your spine is flexible”. To achieve the flexibility of the spine the main focus is on developing breath awareness to calm the mind, allowing time for the body to soften. Students learn to set the ego aside with their shoes and go on a yoga exploration, learning through breath awareness and asanas how to free oneself from self imposed barriers.

Katy
Katy Hinz is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She has taught yoga in corporate, studio and private settings since 2008. Katy is focused on helping her students deepen their own practice by accepting each moment and each pose as it is, in order to explore the deeper truth within. She feels that life is constantly evolving, and this evolution can be observed through yoga. Some days "yoga" means resting a sore body with restorative poses, or just going for a simple walk and listening to one's breath. Katy loves to share yoga as a practice that nourishes the body, mind, emotions and spirit.
Hannah
Hannah

Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas where she was classically trained
in Sivananda Yoga. Hannah’s passion about yoga and yogic philosophy extend over
into her everyday life. Hannah views yoga as a path to connect with the Divine.
She is dedicated to helping her students relax and go inward to connect with
their Higher Selves. She aims to help others break their self-imposed
limitations in order to reach their full potential as yogis and yoginis. She is incredibly grateful to be able to share her practice with you.

Stephanie
After
many years as a dancer and fifteen more years as a runner, Steph began to seek
an alternative form of exercise that wouldn’t strain her joints so much. It was this intention that brought her to
ashtanga yoga. Within weeks she began to
recognize that yoga was so much more than just physical postures. She soon enrolled in shala at Namaste Yoga in
Royal Oak and absorbed herself in the deeper philosophy of the practice. After nearly ten years of teaching, she
recognizes how much more there is to learn, and honors her students as some of
her greatest teachers.
